Hilliard has been my home since 2012, and I’m proud to live in and serve this incredible community.
I’m running because city council decisions should reflect common-sense, community-focused values—not partisanship. I want to ensure we preserve our small-town charm while continuing to grow responsibly, serve every resident well, and strengthen all that makes Hilliard a great place to live: strong families, fun amenities, and the city’s financial wherewithal.
I understand how local government works—and how it should work for residents like you. Growing up as the son of a small-town mayor and village administrator, I saw firsthand the impact of caring for the community. Now, in my professional life, I advocate for more than 730 cities and villages—including Hilliard—through my work at the Ohio Municipal League, and also did so in my past work at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission. I know the issues, I know our community, and I’m ready to get to work for Hilliard on day one.
I’ll work to further improve city responsiveness, thoughtfully expand recreational programs for all ages, support responsible development, and advocate for safe, well-connected neighborhoods. I’ll ensure your voice is heard as decisions are made—because good local government starts with listening to what others have to say.
My career is focused on good government, smart public policy, and community development. At the Ohio Municipal League, I get to work on any issue that affects the everyday actions of cities and villages throughout the state. During my many years at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission, I worked on transportation, land use, and sustainability—key issues for any growing city. I currently chair Hilliard’s Planning & Zoning Commission and serve on community organizations like the Hilliard Ohio Historical Society, the Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, and Keep Hilliard Beautiful. I understand the issues impacting our community and have a proven track record of working to solve them.
I'll approach every city council decision through the lens of Family, Fun, and Finances. That means supporting families and neighborhoods, making Hilliard a fun and vibrant place to live, and ensuring our tax dollars are used wisely to fund quality services and infrastructure. My goal is to have clear priorities, responsive leadership, and common-sense, community-first solutions.
Trust is earned, and I’m committed to earning yours every day. I believe in fairness, transparency, and doing the right thing—even when it’s not the easy thing. I’ll always approach decisions with integrity, guided by what’s best for the people of Hilliard.
What about...?
I’m a big supporter of our police officers as well as the work of the Norwich Township Fire Department. I’ll continue working to ensure public safety remains strong, modernized, and centered on the good of community residents.
I'll also do my best to crack down on the Hilliard Car Gang. 😉
With The Well soon up and running, we’ll need to transition our focus to programming that’s accessible, inclusive, and affordable—for kids, seniors, and everyone in between. As someone who values quality of life, I’ll push for continued, wise investment in our rec & parks programs and facilities—including an even further buildout of our bike/pedestrian network through trails and multi-use paths.
As Hilliard grows older and wiser, I’ll advocate for the needed opportunities, services, and transportation options that help seniors remain active and connected in our community. A lot of exciting work is already being done in this area to build upon.
Working at a small business advocacy organization while in college opened my eyes to the concerns and needs of businesses—especially small businesses. I’ve seen firsthand how smart policies attract good jobs and bring financial sustainability to a city. The city has an extremely thoughtful approach to attracting and growing cutting-edge businesses, and we can double down on it. I’ll use the knowledge I’ve attained to support local business owners and bring innovative, strategic growth to Hilliard.
As chair of the city’s Planning & Zoning Commission and the longest-serving member currently on the commission, I know how to balance progress with preservation. I was exposed to many best practices as an employee at the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission that can be considered within the context of Hilliard. I’ll continue to advocate for responsible development that reflects our community’s values and vision.
Whether it’s safe streets, better pedestrian access, or more opportunities for bicycling, I’ll prioritize connected, accessible infrastructure that supports our growing city so that you can comfortably and easily get to the places you most want to go—work, school, restaurants, the grocery store and more.
You deserve a city government that works for you. I’ll ensure the city’s focus remains on improving communication, transparency, and services so residents always feel heard and helped.
